Annette Barbier began working in video in Chicago in the 1970s during an era of inventing abstract and colorized images on the Sandin Image Processor. Barbier went on to create feminist narratives through serial thematic groupings of images of personal content. Barbier is a professor in Radio, Television and Film at Northwestern University.
