K8 Hardy
K8 Hardy is an artist and performer based in New York. Her recent solo exhibition To All the G%#&$ I've Loved Before, was featured at Reena Spauldings Fine Art in New York in 2010. Her work and performances have also been included in exhibitions at Casco Projects, the Netherlands; P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, New York; the Tate Modern and the Serpentine Gallery, London; and the Generali Foundation, Vienna. New Report, Hardy's collaboration with Wynne Greenwood, has been exhibited at The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn; the Moscow Biennial, Moscow; the Tate Modern, London; the Lyon Biennial, Lyon France; and Light Industry, Brooklyn. She is a co-founder of the queer feminist collective LTTR, which published the journal of the same name between 2000-07, and also organized performances, events and screenings. Hardy has been making experimental film and video since 1998, and is a fellow of the Whitney Museum of American Arts Independent Study Program, and a graduate of Smith College with a degree in Women's Studies and Film Studies
