Interning at the Video Data Bank is a valuable experience for students invested in the history of video art, technological changes in the media arts field, video preservation, arts administration, and independent media distribution. Interns undertake a variety of projects depending on their skills and interests, and the needs of the VDB.
The Video Data Bank accepts internship applications on a year-round basis from students currently enrolled in degree-seeking programs. To apply for a position for the Summer, please email a letter of interest with mention of your preferred area (distribution, collection, preservation, media production, or administration) and a resume to the Distribution Manager prior to May 10th.
Internship hiring is selective and dependent on current staff needs/schedules. All internships are unpaid, though college credit can be arranged.
