The Video Data Bank’s (VDB) international distribution service for video art aims to promote and make available our collection to a wide-ranging audience through purchasing options for educational and cultural institutions.
All video works are available as archival aquisitions for instutional collections, library purchase for educational purposes, and rental for screenings and exhibitions, unless otherwise stated. Orders can be placed directly through our website with a VDB account, by filling out the appropriate online order form, or by contacting Distribution via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone call.
Screening and exhibition rentals, and archival aquisitions come with Public Performance Rights; library purchases come with rights for in-classroom screenings. Agreement to these terms is required before we can process order requests. When placing an order online terms and conditions are agreed to as part of the online order form. When orders are placed directly through Distribution, a licensing agreement is emailed and must be signed and returned before the screening date. All payments must be received before material is shipped.
