Print Resource Collection
The Video Data Bank maintains a research collection of print materials such as books, reviews, magazine articles, program notes, biographies, videographies, photographs and press kits. These materials provide a background on the individual artists and titles in the collections, create a context for video as it developed as an art form, and are a useful tool for analyzing politics and culture. These materials are available for use in the Video Data Bank facility.

The Video Data Bank is located at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Our media center includes a production and non-linear editing facility; an archival storage room for the storage of preserved videotapes; and a screening room that is open to the public by appointment. If you are coming to Chicago, please stop in to visit or view tapes!
