Dana Levy

Dana Levy was born in Tel Aviv, Israel.  She completed her BA at Camberwell College of Art, London and a post-graduate degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee.  Since then she has been living in Tel Aviv and creating photography, video, and documentary.  She has taught video at Shenkar College of Art, and has taken part in artist residencies in New York, Florida, Austria, Finland and Milan.  In 2008 she received the Young Israeli Artist Award.

Solo exhibitions include: Harbres+Partner Gallery Vienna 2009; Tavi Dresdner Gallery Tel Aviv, 2008; Rosenfeld Gallery, Tel Aviv, 2004; and Haifa Museum of Art, 2004.  Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at Haifa Museum of Art, 2010; Museum on the Seam Jerusalem 2010; Cleveland Museum of Modern Art, 2009; Nuit Blanch Paris, 2009;  Helena Rubinstein Pavillion Tel Avivv 2008; Jewish Museum Amsterdamv 2008; Israel Museum Jerusalemv 2008; Smack Melon New York, 2007; Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 2006; and OK Center for Contemporary Art Linz, Austria, 2003.  Her films have been screened at the Moscow Film Festival, 2008;  Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid, 2008; Chicago Underground Film Festival, 2007; Videoformes, France, 2007; Hamburg Short Film Festival, 2006;  Mediterranean Film Festival of Montpellier, 2006 and 2004;  and Jerusalem Film Festival, 2003.
