James Duesing

James Duesing is an animator and video artist who teaches at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. His work has been extensively exhibited and televised throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. His work centers on the relationship between characters and their environments, is visually complex, and draws references from a variety of sources including underground comics, contemporary art, literature, and Warner Brothers cartoons. Duesing's recent work uses sophisticated computer graphics and animation programs, combined with hand-drawn imagery.
