VDB at The 18th Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival, June 2-9 at the Gene Siskel Film Center

Video Data Bank is excited for the opening of the 18th Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival on June 2, 2011!  There are a number of VDB artists and friends represented in this year's edition, taking place at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago. 
Some highlights include:

VDB artist Chi Jang Yin joins Donald Harrison, Irvine Welsh, and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky as a juror for the Festival
Jem Cohen's Anne Truitt, Working is included in Shorts Program: My Head is My Only House Unless it Rains, Friday, June 3 at 6:00 PM
Marie Losier's new feature, The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye, screens Friday, June 3 at 8:00 PM and Thursday, June 9 at 8:00 PM
Blood & Cinnamon by Jessie Mott and Steve Reinke is part of Shorts Program: Pompadour Swamp, Saturday, June 4 at 4:00 PM
Nicolas Provost's Long Live the New Flesh and Michael Robinson's These Hammers Don't Hurt Us are featured in Shorts Program: I'm Gonna Booglarize You Baby, Saturday, June 4 at 5:15 and Tuesday, June 7 at 6:00 PM
The Man Who Went Outside by Jennet Thomas, Postface by Frédéric Moffet, and Magic for Beginners by Jesse McLean are included in Shorts Program: A Carrot is as Close as a Rabbit Gets to a Diamond, Sunday, June 5 at 1:00 and Thursday, June 9 at 6:00
Jackie Goss's latest feature, The Observers, shows Sunday, June 5 at 4:00
These Blazeing Stars! by Deborah Stratman is part of Shorts Program: Flash Gordon's Ape, Sunday, June 5 at 6:00
